ROMAN HOFFMAN: LIGHTING THE STRUCTURE OF THE HUMAN FACE, SIMPLE TO COMPLEX LIGHTING

Equipment used: Felloni LED panels; dedolight DLH4

This demonstration begins by showing what can be achieved with a single Felloni panel light, then repeats the process with a dedolight focussing light, showing the difference between a light with a large surface (soft light) versus small surface (hard light).

The demonstration then shows 2 lights and how these can be used together, ultimately to show a 5 light set-up and finally a 6th light is added for the creation of background shapes.

Also shown in use is a dedolight imager projector with gobos, colours, and effects patterns.

This demonstration shows the precision and creativity that can be achieved with the dedolight system and reveals not only the technical information for controlling light and shaping, but also commentary of the psychological effect lighting has on image creation.
