A conversation between 2 cinematographers about the development and changes in lighting technology and the impact of the dedolight system.

**Billy Williams**

Billy Williams has been nominated 3 times for Oscars, and won an Oscar for his cinematography for Gandhi (1982). Billy was also responsible for shooting a number of films, including Women in Love (1969), On Golden Pond (1981), The Wind and the Lion (1975), Sunday Bloody Sunday (1971).

Williams retired on New Year's Day 1996. Since retirement he has travelled, conducting work shops on film. He was appointed Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in the 2009 Birthday Honours.

**Stuart Harris**

Stuart Harris has worked on many TV productions before working on films including Stanley Kubrick’s 2001, Ken Russell’s The Boyfriend and Peter Hall’s Three into Two Won’t Go. He has won many awards for his creative work on films, commercials and music videos throughout the world. Stuart is currently the co-head of cinematography at the National Film and Television School (NFTS) and continues to be an active cinematographer.
